A Prayer of the Heart – 1

Make me, O Lord, dumb like a sheep that my heart would leap for You unhindered by the cares of the world.

Make me to hear your voice in the depths of my being and my voice to be filled with the hymning of praise for Your loving-kindness and mercy.

Withdrawal not from me Your loving hand which guides and comforts me. Protect me from myself and all evil and unseemly things which seek to seduce me away from the shadow of your immaterial glory and destroy my soul.

For unto You, I give all glory, honor, and worship, to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages, amen +
